Child Abuse & Neglect Mandated Reporter Statement
Michigan Child Protection Law requires certain professionals to report their suspicions of child abuse or neglect to Centralized Intake (CI) at the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS). These people are mandated reporters and have established relationships with children based on their profession. In my capacity as a childcare provider, I am aware that child abuse and neglect are against the law. In addition, I understand that I am a mandated reporter and am required to report any suspected abuse or neglect to DHS whenever I have reasonable suspicion or cause for concern.
